Frankton School expects all students to use their virtues and follow our school kawa. Through the Ministry of Education Contract, Positive Behaviour for Learning, Staff have developed a behaviour matrix that clearly identified to students what it is we would expect to see when they are showing the kawa in different places around our school. What an exciting assembly we had at 10.00am last Friday and we couldn’t even invite you to it because we had to keep it a surprise! The formal assembly was to honour Ms Knox who was presented with a National Excellence Award for Teaching from the NEiTA Foundation. She was one of only six teachers to receive this award from throughout NZ in 2014. Earlier in the year Ms Knox was awarded a regional NEiTA award for teaching and leadership. She went to Wellington to receive this and was then in the running for a national award. more...
